Step Organization for Democracy and Elections, in cooperation with the Center of Legal and Political Studies at the College of Law in the Duhok University, held a symposium to announce of the results of the opinion poll on Monday, August 6, 2024, in the hall of Peshmerga Cultural Center in city of Duhok.
Announcing the results of a questionnaire about the Kurdistan Parliament elections
This questionnaire was implemented by STEP organization in cooperation with the Center for Legal and Political Studies at the College of Law, in the four governorates of the Kurdistan Region, with the participation to more than 3,643 people over the age of 18 years. They were asked eight questions, in addition to the general questions, in order to reach the objectives, set for the questionnaire, by knew the opinions of this random sample about the extent of the participation rate in the upcoming elections, and the factors and reasons that stand as an obstacle to wider participation in the elections. Also, knowing what the voter depends on in the process of choosing candidates and political parties, and what are the voters’ expectations and aspirations for the next government in the region, and also knowing the extent of the Kurdistan voter’s confidence in the management of the Independent High Electoral Commission in managing and conducting the Kurdistan Parliament elections.
It is worth noting that this questionnaire is part of a joint project between the STEP Organization for Democracy and Elections and the Center for Legal and Political Studies at the College of Law in Duhok University k, under the title (Towards Holding More Fair and Effective Elections)
