STEP organization for Democracy and Elections in coordination with Amedi Technical Institute, held a seminar for a targeted group of women and youth in Amedi to discuss (The obstacles and needs of youth and women in Amedi region" The seminar consisted of two main panels
The obstacles and needs of youth and women in Amedi region
Panel 1: Dedicated to the obstacles and needs of youth in the region and was conducted by human rights activist "Dilgash Sadiq" and included:
1-The Economic obstacles presented by Dr. Rebar Fatah, Dean of the College of Management and Economics, Duhok University.
2- The political participation of youth was presented by Dr. Juma Bandi.
3- The government's vision and program to handle the obstacles that face the youth was presented by the Governor of Amedi, Warshin Salman.
Panel 2: Dedicated to the obstacles and needs of women in the region and was conducted by "Sundus" the teacher of the institute and included three topics: -
1- The political participation obstacles for women were presented by Dr. Susan Amedi.
2- 2- The obstacles for women in the society presented by "Chiman Rashid"
3- The Economic obstacles and needs for women: presented by economist "Jagar Mohammed"
The seminar was attended by a large number of representatives and people of the region.
