The organization’s director participated in a panel discussion held at the American University in Sulaymaniyah
The Director of the STEP Organization for Democracy and Elections, Mr. Sarbast Mustafa, participated in a panel discussion organized by the Institute of Regional and International Studies (IRIS) at the American University in Sulaymaniyah on Monday morning, 27/11/2023 about the governorate council elections and the challenges facing the holding of Kurdistan Parliament election that scheduled to be held next February.
The panel also participated Mr. Jawid Habibi, Senior Advisor for Electoral Operations at UNAMI, Mr. Sajad Jiyad, a researcher at Century International, and Ms. Taif Al-Khudari, a researcher at the Department of Political and International Studies at the University of Cambridge, while the dialogue moderated by Mr. Mac Skelton, Executive Director of the Iris Institute as well as a large group of researchers and students from the American University and the University of Sulaymaniyah participated.
At the end of the discussion, questions were opened to be asked from the participant.
