Step Organization

On Wednesday, 15/1/ 2025, the STEP Organization for Democracy and Elections, in partnership with the Legal and Political Studies Center at Duhok University’s Faculty of Law, organized a discussion session titled "The Role of Political Parties in National Dialogue" at the Cultural Center at Duhok University. The session was attended by a number of university professors and representatives of several political parties from Duhok Governorate. The session consisted of three main topics. The first topic, titled "Reflections on the Relationship Between Political Parties and National Dialogue," was presented by Dr. Sherzad Al-Najar, a university professor. The second topic, "Political Parties and National Dialogue: A Critical Reading," was presented by Mr. Farhad Amin, former member of the Iraqi Parliament and former Governor of Duhok. The third topic, "The Role of Political Parties in Building a Civil State," was presented by Mr. Serbest Mustafa, Director of the STEP Organization for Democracy and Elections and former Chairman of the Iraqi Electoral Commission.
