A project for developing the partnership and cooperation with institutes and universities
In implementation of the organization’s goals and plans to develop bonds of partnership and joint cooperation with research centers, institutes and universities at the level of the Kurdistan region and Dohuk Governorate in particular
The STEP Organization for Democracy and Elections organized a special project, relying on joint funding between it and the centers and universities cooperating in this regard. Within the framework of the project, it organized several activities and events such as (dialogue tables, workshops, focused groups, and seminars ), and on various topics such as: -
1-Peace building.
2- Women’s political participation.
3- Women's quota seats.
4- Building the State and the citizenship.
5- The role of the partners in holding fair and effective elections.
These activities were implemented in cooperation with:
1- University of Dohuk, College of Law.
2- Salahaddin University, Faculty of Law.
3- University of Dohuk, Faculty of Political Sciences.
4- University of Dohuk, Gender Equality Studies Research Center.
The target group in these activities and events was from different segments, especially university professors, representatives of political parties, representatives of civil society organizations, and university students. These activities have produced good results in identifying the causes and challenges and proposing appropriate solutions and treatments for them, which open the way for the possibility of conducting scientific and field research and studies, and making policy papers on the topics raised.
